Group 4: Chapter 1 and 2
I found chapters one and two to be very interesting. Both chapters did more than just refresh my memory. I am wondering if you all remember learning all of this in elementary or not? I sure don't. The most interesting thing I found were the idea of the option slot and the linking verb. I had forgotten about the linking verb. Diagraming is coming along for me but I find it somewhat difficult. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The way I do it is by identifying what each segment of the sentence is and by doing this, I know what everything is and where it goes on a sentence diagram
I found diagraming confusing, I had honestly never seen it before it was introduced in this class. It's a little easier now that we have done some exercises with it, but I could still use some more practice.
I had a very hard time diagramming at first, but I am slowly improving the more I re-read the material. I definitely need more practice,and can relate to your struggles.
Diagraming is not coming easily to me. Just as I think I have it figured out I check the back of the book and it's wrong. My biggest problem is the prep phrases.
