Group 4: Chapters 1 and 2
Within the two chapters, I found the most interesting part to be the 10 sentence structures. I was never taught grammer in school and was completely unaware that there were forms that almost every sentence falls into.
As I already mentioned, I was not taught grammer in school, except for the basics (noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, etc.) Prior to taking this class, how much grammer did you recieve in your K-12 education if any?

Fortunately, I was taught grammar in high school. I learned most of the stuff that we are currently learning. I also learned more stuff which I dont completely remmeber.
I didn't learn any of the more complex things that we are learning now in school, but I wish I would have. My grammar was very basic.
Surprisingly, I learned most of my grammar in middle school. I know this because I learned nothing in high school. = )
I don't have much memory back to what I was taught in school. I think I had a good amount of grammar taught, but nothing to match this class.
The majority of grammar training I had was in my spanish classes during high school. My teacher would demostrate the ways that the two languages were different in structure. I had a little bit in elementary school, but when I left my private school for a public one it was never brought up again.

The only time I had grammar was early elementry school. I don't know if the reason why I never had more is due it not being offered or if I just managed to not take any.
I had basically no grammar instruction. I remember learning about verbs and nouns and that was about it. We focused a lot on root words, which was helpful, but I think grammar would also have been nice. I suppose we had some grammar instruction via comments on essays, but that obviously leaves something to be desired.
